The Universe Pushed Me Into Menopause Coaching (with a Slight Nudge from the Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario)

Let me tell you how I actually became a practicing menopause coach.

Technically, I already was one. I had the training. The certification. The passion.

What I didn’t have? The confidence to step fully into it.

I was stuck in the swamp of “how” to get started.

How to package it.

How to market it.

How to be “legit.”

So instead, I kept defaulting to what I already knew—somatic therapy.

Safe. Comfortable. Billable.

Then the universe stepped in.

With its delicious sense of humour, it sent a message in the form of… a complaint to the psychotherapy board.

Yep.

Someone reported me. (and I’m 95% sure it was a bitter psychologist who had no idea I am certified in Compassionate Inquiry- A psychotherapeutic approach created by Dr. Gabor Maté)

For what, exactly? Still a little unclear but it was alleged I MAY be practicing psychotherapy without being a part of the board certified therapists. Let it be known I did absolutely NOTHING wrong or outside of my scope of practice.

All this aside the result was very clear: I couldn’t keep trying to build something new while clinging to the old.

Cue the identity crisis.

A little panic. A lot of pacing. Possibly some rage-cleaning.

And then-clarity

This was the nudge (okay, shove) I needed. Because the truth was: I had already outgrown the old model.

I wasn’t here to be a therapist who whispered about menopause in a dimly lit office.

I was here to help women rewrite midlife out loud—with fire, fun, and actual freedom.

The universe knew.

It saw me hating my life in Canva and rewriting my bio for the 14th time and said, “Nope. Time to go.”

So it burned the damn bridge for me.

And guess what?

Since that day, I’ve worked with women who were lost in the fog of menopause and are now:

  • Excited about the future

  • Starting businesses

  • Having better sex

  • Quitting jobs

  • Reclaiming their dreams

I am currently creating a 12-week program that makes me proud and will get results.

And I’ve never been more aligned, more free, or more certain that this is what I’m meant to do.

Sometimes, the universe clears your path… by lighting a fire under your ass.

So if you’re in that stuck place—unsure, overthinking, waiting for permission—maybe this is your nudge.

Not everyone gets reported to a board (and hey, you’re welcome to borrow that story), but we all get invited to shift.

This was mine.
